At The Afterparty, everything we do has always been built on friendships, music, and a shared passion for creating great live experiences. That’s why we’re really excited to welcome Millie and Sophie to the team, helping us manage and grow The Afterparty behind the scenes.
In many ways, the story starts long before The Afterparty even existed.
A Friendship Built Through Music
Liam and Marcello have been making music together for nearly 16 years. As teenagers, they played in a band called Stereo Influence, spending countless hours rehearsing, writing songs, and playing gigs wherever they could.
Like most musicians starting out, there were different bands and projects along the way, but the one thing that never changed was their friendship. Over the years that friendship has grown into something more like brotherhood, and that connection has always been a huge part of what makes The Afterparty what it is.
From Brides to Business
Fast forward to today, and that close-knit bond has grown even stronger.
Millie is now Marcello’s wife, and Sophie is Liam’s wife, which means what started as a band between friends has naturally grown into something that feels very much like a family business.
As the band has grown and we’ve taken on more weddings, parties, and events, there’s more happening behind the scenes than ever before. From managing bookings to organising events and making sure every client has the best possible experience, it takes a lot of work away from the stage.
That’s where Millie and Sophie come in.
Bringing New Experience to the Team
Millie brings years of experience in marketing, helping us strengthen the brand, relationships with clients and continue growing The Afterparty while keeping the personal touch that people value when booking the band.
Sophie joins the team with experience in the events industry alongside a strong background in sales, meaning she understands exactly what it takes to plan and deliver smooth, well-run events from start to finish.
Together, they’ll be helping us manage bookings, coordinate events, and make sure every Afterparty performance delivers the energy and experience people expect.
The Next Chapter for The Afterparty
For us, The Afterparty has always been about more than just the music. It’s about bringing people together, filling dance floors, and being part of some incredible celebrations.
Bringing Millie and Sophie into the team feels like a natural next step as the band continues to grow. With their experience and support behind the scenes, we’re excited about what the future holds for The Afterparty.
